APPIS innovator program

Stroke Support Alliance initiative has been shortlisted for Alliance and Partnerships for Patient Innovation and Solutions Innovator Program. Stroke is the leading cause of mortality and disability. In India every year, approximately 1.8 million people suffer from stroke. India has seen 100 percent increase in stroke. It is evident that, there are some systematic problems that must be addressed with a standard approach. Stroke Support Alliance initiative was set up in 2020 with the intention to explore opportunities to influence policymakers and bring about positive policy change through the voices of patients, as well as to influence healthcare providers to build a better healthcare system. We have managed to create impact within the policy and among the patients within a period of one and a half year. We presented our work at the APPIS 2022 Summit.
